Brother Dastageer is suffering from an end-stage disease called chronic kidney failure, due to which his blood doesn’t get filtered through normal body mechanisms, which is essentially the function of our kidneys. Now he has been on continuous dialysis for the past 5-6 years and is waiting for funds to undergo a kidney transplant.
Dastageer is not hopeless about life, but he takes motivation from his chronic debility to help others and wants his daughter to be able to give back to the community.
He has four children, all of whom are in school and are not the sources of income needed to support the family in its financial crisis.
He is originally from Parbhani but lives in a rented house in Aurangabad, for his treatment. Till now, they have spent around 10 lakhs on his treatment (gathered from various societies and humble donations).
